This morning Kyle and I ventured out to the 2010 Westside Nut Club Fall Festival's annual Pet Parade. We braved the crowds and the record high temp (for Oct.) to see our youngest nephew, Xander Gray, and his chihuahua Domino in this odd event. Evansville has the 2nd largest street festival in the nation... and we have a pet parade, HA! Mardi Gras has the first largest street festival and I'm pretty sure they do not have a pet parade.
We saw some really cute themes, ideas and some really miserable dogs. Corinne worked really hard on her SAFARI theme and Xander was a very good participant in his giraffe costume. Their hard work paid off with earning 3rd place ($10 and a medal that Xander found quite tasty). At the end, Xander was tired and hungry and HOT! All in all, he was a very good sport.
Hats off to Uncle Kyle for working 5:00pm-5:00am and still getting up to go cheer on the little guy!
I think we'll keep him :)
Enjoy some pictures from our morning!
Sincerely,
EDH
